In addition to the super stars and professional artists, a group of US student ballerinas, from MorningStar Dance Academy, performed extremely well and gave wow the audience with a dance that combines the beauty of oriental and western art.

Our forty-nine young and delicate ballerinas were dancing to the tune of a traditional Chinese ballad, the Jasmine Flower. This group dance integrates China's traditional fan-dance with ballet.

While the girls gave a stunning performance to Chinese audiences, they are also getting a once in a lifetime experience, celebrating the Spring Festival together with the over one billion Chinese people. More videos in Youtube in USA and CCTV in China

YAGP 2015 NY Final News

MorningStar Dance Academy’s large ensemble group dance “Jasmine” was awarded Top 12 in the New York 2015 YAGP Finals. It was a great honor for MSDA students to perform in the “Stars of Today Meet Stars of Tomorrow” gala at the David H. Koch Theater of Lincoln Center. The gala featured other award winners from the competition as well as present-day stars from the Mariinsky Ballet (Kimin Kim, Xander Parish and Kristina Shapran), New York City Ballet (Teresa Reichlen and Zachary Catazaro), Royal Ballet (Eric Underwood and Melissa Hamilton), American Ballet Theater (Paloma Herrera, Calvin Royal III and Isabella Boylston), Joffrey Studio Company (Vassily Primakov), and Bolshoi Ballet (Evegenia Obraztsova and Semyon Chudin).

Solo finalists in the competition from MSDA also received scholarships from renowned ballet schools, such as the American Ballet Theater JKO School, Houston Ballet School, Ballet West, and Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet.
